Clarins seeks a Sales Director in Taipei, Taiwan to lead retail strategy, manage multi-site teams, and drive commercial growth.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and implement the national retail strategy in alignment with Clarins' global vision and local market objectives
- Define and drive sales targets, retail KPIs, and productivity metrics across all channels and retail doors
- Identify and implement business development opportunities to accelerate growth in Taiwan's retail market
- Inspire and lead a team of area managers, counter managers, and frontline retail staff across Taiwan
- Foster a high-performance and customer-centric culture through coaching, training, and performance management
- Lead workforce planning, succession development, and talent retention strategies
- Ensure retail teams deliver outstanding service aligned with the Clarins customer journey and brand values
- Partner with Training and CRM teams to deliver personalized experiences, beauty consultations, and loyalty-building programs
- Oversee retail operations including scheduling, stock management, store presentation, and visual merchandising execution
- Drive compliance to operational standards, policies, and health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with headquarters teams to support new store openings, renovations, and retail innovation projects
- Work closely with Marketing, CRM, Training, and Supply Chain to ensure 360° retail activation and alignment
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market trends, competitor analysis, and customer feedback
Qualifications
- Over 10 years of experience in premium beauty, fashion, or retail with proven track record in leading large teams
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-site retail networks
- Strong business acumen with ability to translate strategy into actionable plans
- Proven people leadership and team management capabilities
- Deep understanding of customer needs, service excellence, and local consumer behavior
- Familiarity with Taiwan's retail and department store landscape
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English
