Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the annual public relations strategy in alignment with brand objectives
- Establish external communication plans and key messaging by segment
- Manage and optimize the PR department budget
- Identify strategic partnerships with key media outlets (editorial) and influential personalities
- Establish quarterly priorities and timelines for all PR initiatives
- Negotiate media partnership and visibility-exchange agreements
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate PR Specialist and PR Coordinator team members
- Conduct weekly team meetings and ensure effective information circulation
- Coordinate resources and allocate mandates according to priorities
- Ensure professional development of the team through coaching and training
- Manage crisis situations and define communication protocols
- Represent the brand at major events and industry conferences
- Maintain relationships with journalists and strategic media partners
- Present PR results and performance indicators to senior leadership
- Collaborate with Marketing and Media teams to ensure message consistency
- Evaluate the effectiveness of PR campaigns and formulate recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
- Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in public relations, including personnel management
- Excellent network of media contacts and strong understanding of the influencer ecosystem
- Demonstrated experience in crisis management and sensitive issue communication
- Proven ability to manage departmental budgets and negotiate partnership agreements
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both written and oral
- Knowledge of and interest in the cosmetics and beauty industry
- Mobilizing leadership style with strong political acumen and communication skills
- Rigour, strategic mindset, and capacity to manage multiple files simultaneously
