Clarins seeks an Environment Manager for its Pontoise facility. Manage ISO 14001/50001, environmental compliance, and HSE initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deploy and improve the Security and Environmental Policy across the operations site in collaboration with the HSE team
- Identify, assess, and monitor significant environmental aspects linked to site activities
- Develop and implement environmental improvement programs, coordinating associated action plans
- Participate in risk analysis for site activities and contribute to preventing incidents affecting personnel, installations, or the environment
- Communicate environmental objectives and risk prevention initiatives to all employees
- Monitor, analyze, and report environmental performance indicators and metrics
- Prepare environmental reports and dashboards for HSE leadership and senior management
- Implement and oversee action plans from audits, inspections, regulatory assessments, and environmental analyses
- Conduct or coordinate internal audits of Environmental and Energy Management systems
- Produce regulatory declarations, reports, and submissions required by authorities and the Group
- Provide operational support to all departments and services on environmental and risk prevention matters
- Analyze departmental needs and propose solutions to reduce environmental impacts
- Oversee vendors and suppliers involved in site environmental activities
- Apply and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (BPF) and applicable regulatory standards
- Participate in the management of non-conformities, corrective actions, and preventive measures
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar environmental management or HSE role
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and Classified Facilities for Environmental Protection (ICPE) requirements
- Proficiency with ISO 14001 environmental management system standards
- Proficiency with ISO 50001 energy management system standards
- Expertise in waste management regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and demonstrate cooperation
- Polyvalent, adaptable, and proactive approach to work
- Ability to support cross-functional teams and manage external stakeholders
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in an environmental management, sustainability, or HSE specialist role, ideally within manufacturing, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or regulated industries. Demonstrated track record of successfully deploying environmental policies, managing certifications, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Education
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Chemistry, or a related discipline. Additional certifications in environmental management (ISO 14001 Lead Auditor or similar) are valued.
