Brand Management Accountant at Clarins, Paris. 10-month contract overseeing brand financial control, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
Role & Responsibilities
- Orchestrate all budgetary processes (annual budgets, revised forecasts) for the brand in collaboration with executive committee members, including construction and monitoring of marketing department budgets, hypothesis analysis and optimization, expense tracking and risk/opportunity alerts versus forecasts, and operational support and challenge processes
- Manage key financial processes including monthly closures in Workday, provision calculations, P&L consistency verification, monthly reporting to department heads and senior management, monthly closure notes for brand leadership, and calendar management for budget submission cycles
- Review product launch profitability (skincare and makeup) through recommended retail price analysis and regional forecast reviews with marketing, margin objective setting and launch return projections (packaging, formula, subcontracting), and construction of launch profitability projections with optimization recommendations
- Lead cross-functional optimization projects including identification of budgetary optimization opportunities in collaboration with procurement and executive committee members, improvements to rights-of-use management and control practices, implementation of new decision-support and piloting tools (project dashboards) in a transformation context, and ad hoc studies including consulting cost analyses, salary mass evolution assessments, and seminar cost benchmarking
Qualifications
- Master's degree (Bac+5) in Finance or Management Accounting
- 3–5 years of demonstrated success in a management accounting or financial controlling role
- Comfortable presenting and engaging with senior stakeholders, including executive committee members
- Recognized for strong proposal-making capabilities, persuasion skills, and team collaboration
- Curious and invested in contributing to the development initiatives of the Clarins brand
- Rigorous, structured, and possessing strong analytical capability with the ability to take a step back and formulate recommendations

Experience
3–5 years of proven experience in management accounting, financial control, or brand financial management within a luxury or consumer goods organization.
Education
Master's degree (Bac+5) in Finance, Management Accounting, or related discipline.
