Clarins is hiring a Brand Financial Controller for a 10-month contract in Paris. Lead budgeting and financial analysis for the iconic skincare brand.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage all budgeting processes including construction, monitoring, and optimization of budget assumptions across marketing departments in coordination with the brand's executive committee
- Oversee monthly financial closures within Workday, ensuring timely delivery of provisions calculations, P&L reconciliations, and departmental reporting
- Produce monthly reports and closing notes for brand management and department heads, analyzing performance and alerting stakeholders to risks and opportunities
- Lead profitability reviews of skincare and makeup product launches, including recommended public price analysis, margin targets, and manufacturing cost projections
- Execute ad-hoc financial studies including consulting cost comparisons, salary analysis, and benchmark assessments across seminars and services
- Identify budgetary optimization opportunities in coordination with procurement and executive committee members
- Participate in the development of three-year strategic plans and implementation of new financial management dashboards
- Manage an apprentice team member, providing guidance and professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Bac+5) in Finance or Financial Management
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in financial controlling or management accounting
- Proficiency in presenting to and engaging with C-suite executives and senior management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with demonstrated capacity to synthesize complex data and formulate strategic recommendations
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Collaborative mindset and demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across departments
Skills
Experience
3 to 5 years of successful experience in financial controlling or management accounting roles, preferably within luxury goods, cosmetics, or consumer brands.
Education
Bachelor's degree (Bac+5) in Finance, Accounting, or Financial Management.
