Church's seeks an Assistant Store Manager in London to lead boutique sales, client service and daily operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and KPI performance for the boutique.
- Lead, coach and motivate a small retail team to deliver exemplary luxury-level client service and personalised clienteling.
- Manage daily store operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, POS reconciliations and banking.
- Oversee visual merchandising standards and implementation to reflect seasonal directives and brand presentation guidelines.
- Control stock: receive and process deliveries, conduct stock takes, manage inventory accuracy and returns.
- Drive client acquisition and retention through proactive outreach, appointment management and CRM activity.
- Enforce loss-prevention procedures and maintain a secure, compliant retail environment.
- Prepare routine reports and collaborate with district/area management on business reviews and action plans.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' supervisory or assistant manager experience in luxury retail, ideally within footwear, leather goods or fashion.
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets and delivering high-quality client service in a boutique environment.
- Strong leadership and people development skills with experience coaching frontline sales staff.
- High numeracy and organisational capability; confident with cash handling and basic P&L awareness.
- Right to work in the UK.

At least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant-manager role within luxury retail, with demonstrable experience in achieving sales targets, leading small teams and managing boutique operations.
Education
