Christie's seeks an Art History intern for its Sculpture & Decorative Objects department in Paris. Six-month full-time position beginning January 2027, €900/month plus benefits.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist the cataloguer in developing sale catalogues, coordinating restoration and expert evaluations, and participate in cataloguing sessions at the warehouse
- Conduct bibliographic research necessary for lot expertise in libraries, archives, and online databases
- Prepare descriptive documentation for expert appraisals and support the movement and management of artworks
- Attend client appointments and provide administrative support
- Contribute to the organization and logistics of upcoming auction sales
- Correspond with external experts, museums, and institutional partners
- Execute daily departmental administrative tasks
- Monitor competitive activity and market trends
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Master's degree program in Art History or equivalent advanced academic program
- Demonstrated research skills and genuine interest in sculpture and decorative objects
- Prior experience in the art market, auction house operations, or museum environment
- Fluent in English; proficient with standard computer applications

The base compensation for this position is EUR 900 per month.
