Christie’s seeks a Private Sales Specialist, Jewelry and Watches to lead private sales, drive commercial growth, cultivate collector relationships, and coordinate strategy and sales opportunities across its international network. The role is full-time and requires at least 8–10 years of relevant experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive sales individually and facilitate communication across Christie’s global team, identifying and connecting opportunities throughout its global network.
- Grow private sales within the cluster by developing a robust pipeline, managing inventory and opportunities, and organizing pricing meetings with relevant teams.
- Maintain margins on private sale deals to meet profitability targets and align with the overall budget.
- Build long-term relationships with novice and seasoned jewelry collectors; meet clients on-site and off-site, travel when appropriate, and attend events, exhibitions, and fairs.
- Champion Client Strategy and Object Intelligence initiatives to identify significant opportunities and strengthen relationships with major clients who collect across categories.
- Work with the Global Head of Private Sales, Global Head of Jewels, GMD, and regional managers to set and implement the global Private Sales strategy.
- Increase collaboration between departments, the chairman’s office, and regions to optimize private sales and consignments, reviewing key clients and regions to activate private sale opportunities.
- Project-manage key private sales projects and initiatives for the region.
- Work with the Sales Director and International Jewels Private Sale Specialist to identify and address process improvements, resource needs, and business efficiencies that remove roadblocks and support growth.
- Partner with the International Head of Jewels, Global Managing Director for Luxury, and other Private Sale leaders to develop and implement group strategy, oversee exhibition strategy, and support global sales with international colleagues.
Qualifications
- At least 8–10 years of experience with high-value and/or rare jewels or watches, preferably in the secondary market, with significant client management experience.
- Fluent in English.
- Financial acumen and a strategic mindset for growth.
- Proactive approach and ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from colleagues and clients.
- Strong follow-through skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 120,000 to USD 160,000 per annum.
