Christie's Paris seeks a 6-month full-time Handbags Department Intern for art catalogue and auction support, January–June 2027.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare descriptive lot sheets for expert appraisals and oversee the movement and conditioning of handbags
- Coordinate upcoming auction logistics, including visitor consultations and client correspondence
- Receive, manage, and track lots within departmental inventory systems
- Assist with lot photography and maintain current inventory tracking via spreadsheet
- Provide administrative support for daily departmental operations and auction-related tasks
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Master's degree programme at an art school or business school
- Demonstrated interest in auction house operations, fashion, and leather goods
- Ideally possess previous relevant internship experience
- Fluent English proficiency
- Proficient with standard computer tools and software
