Christie's Design Department Intern, Paris – 6-month paid internship in art cataloguing and research, January–June 2027.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist in cataloguing and catalogue development, coordinating restoration expertise and participating in cataloguing sessions at the warehouse
- Conduct bibliographic research in libraries, archives, and online databases to support lot authentication and expert valuation
- Prepare descriptive documentation for expert appraisals and coordinate artwork transportation to framers and conservation specialists
- Contribute to the organization of forthcoming auctions and sales events
- Maintain correspondence with conservation specialists, experts, and artists
- Support daily administrative and operational tasks within the Design Department
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Master's programme in Art History, Law, or dual degree with a business school or institute of political studies
- Demonstrated genuine interest in design and decorative arts
- Fluent English language proficiency
- Competent with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in extended internships within the art market or research sectors

Master's degree student in Art History, Law, or dual degree programme with a business school or institute of political studies (or equivalent).

Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 900 per month.
Benefits
Monthly stipend of €900 gross; meal vouchers valued at €10 per day (Christie's covers €5); 50% reimbursement of transportation costs.
