Christie’s is seeking a Client Management Coordinator in Los Angeles to support the Deputy Chairman with high-level client relationships, auction and private-sale consignments, client communications, logistics and account management. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 3–4 years of relevant experience; it is full-time, with flexible evening and weekend hours during peak 20/21 sale seasons.
Role & Responsibilities
- Foster and maintain strong client relationships on behalf of the Deputy Chairman, while developing relationships with top clients to secure consignments and offer property for sale.
- Manage the Deputy Chairman’s client accounts throughout the auction and private-sale consignment process, including proposals, shipping, logistics, contracts and client management.
- Build and maintain working relationships with internal art departments, post-sale and client services, marketing, legal and finance teams, as well as external organisations and institutions.
- Assist with client correspondence, estimate requests, bid facilitation and general client-service needs.
- Liaise with clients and global sale teams to gauge and track interest in artworks and arrange client bid requests for year-round auctions across global sale sites.
- Lead client-facing communications and requests.
- Manage all consignments and ongoing projects for the Deputy Chairman.
- Manage and attend client walk-throughs, including tagging, condition checks and property pickups.
- Assist Specialist and Operations teams with shipping arrangements for incoming property.
- Support client paperwork, appraisal documentation and consignment management.
- Partner with Post-Sale Services to ensure smooth invoicing, shipping and settlement processes.
- Maintain an active pipeline tracker for all client accounts and regularly communicate status updates to internal stakeholders.
- Manage the Deputy Chairman’s emails and direct client correspondence.
- Keep up to date with industry developments and market trends.
- Work flexible hours during peak 20/21 sale seasons, including evenings and weekends.
- Build and maintain client relationships on behalf of the business getters supported.
- Maintain awareness of strategies for key clients and client groups.
- Collaborate with the Client Strategy team to share and obtain relevant client intelligence.
- Undertake ad hoc projects and duties assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Art History, Business or a related field preferred.
- 3–4 years of relevant work experience; experience in the art world preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken communication.
- Experience supporting senior executives.
- Strong interpersonal and client-service skills when working with superiors, clients and peers.
- Exceptional relationship-building and maintenance skills.
- Self-starting, proactive approach.
- Highly organised, with demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritise.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 57,000 to USD 60,000 per annum.
