Parfums Christian Dior in Orléans seeks a Workshop Manager — Packaging to lead a 35‑person team on 2x8 shifts, ensuring production performance, quality and safety.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a packaging/filling workshop of approximately 35 staff across shift operations, ensuring continuity and performance during each 8‑hour shift within a 24‑hour production rhythm (2x8).
  • Own safety and product quality: enforce internal procedures, ensure compliance with quality standards and intervene on disciplinary or behavioural issues when required.
  • Plan and prioritise production schedules and line assignments, optimising resources and promoting polyvalence across the team.
  • Monitor and animate daily performance indicators (TRS, changeover times, adherence to production sequences and schedule compliance) and implement corrective actions to meet targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives: identify optimisation opportunities, lead problem‑solving for production variances and support deployment of new methods and tools.
  • Conduct regular shop‑floor audits, oversee training and habilitations, and develop team competencies to maintain operational standards.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent (industrial/manufacturing background preferred).
  • Proven leadership ability or clear leadership potential with a strong orientation to results and team development.
  • Excellent organisational skills, rigor and attention to detail with a demonstrable passion for product quality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to foster teamwork and inclusivity across diverse populations.
  • IT proficiency: advanced use of Microsoft Office; familiarity with Microsoft Power BI and knowledge of SAP are advantageous.
  • Willingness to work structured shift patterns (2x8) and to take responsibility for shift outcomes.

Experience

Entry‑level to early‑career candidates are welcome; the role favours demonstrated leadership potential, internships or initial supervisory experience in manufacturing/packaging environments. Prior exposure to regulated production or quality systems is an asset.

Education

Engineering degree or equivalent (industrial/manufacturing orientation preferred).
