Christian Dior Couture in Paris seeks a Women's Leather Goods Collection Manager to lead seasonal handbag collection development and commercialization.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the women's leather goods product team comprising product managers and assistants (4 staff members)
  • Oversee collection development lifecycle, ensuring alignment with Dior's artistic vision while driving commercial success
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across four annual collections
  • Supervise data quality, product codification, and technical specifications across team deliverables
  • Author and refine collection briefs (4 per year) for the creative studio, incorporating market trends, competitive opportunities, strategic orientations, and category targets
  • Coordinate model deposit and trademark validation with Legal Affairs
  • Monitor technical refinement and quality assurance with industrial development teams, ensuring functional and aesthetic integrity
  • Edit collection plans in collaboration with studio and development teams, managing product recommendations and refinements through showroom presentation
  • Develop and maintain the modelario—the comprehensive collection dashboard and buying tool
  • Establish pricing strategy in coordination with manufacturing, including collection pricing, repricing, and margin monitoring
  • Produce product narratives and positioning documents for internal stakeholders
  • Organize four annual showrooms, managing prototype production and photography in collaboration with the studio, presenting collections to retail merchandisers and wholesale partners
  • Undertake occasional business travel to Italy (3–4 times annually)
  • Present and report collection projects and market insights to senior management
  • Oversee competitive intelligence studies and pricing benchmarking
  • Coordinate 360-degree commercialization strategy across press, digital, VIP/VIC activations, and training initiatives
  • Select and provision prototypes for editorial, digital, and VIP shoots; manage press and media orders
  • Prepare post-showroom synthesis reports and launch documentation for distribution to regional teams

Qualifications

  • Commerce, marketing, or management school diploma
  • Minimum 5–6 years of professional experience in luxury fashion and retail
  • Demonstrated expertise in leather goods product development and market dynamics
  • Proven team management experience
  • Fluent French and English; Italian highly valued
