Christian Dior Couture seeks a Visual Merchandising Budget Analyst in Paris to manage global budget tracking, analysis, and reporting across VM operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the elaboration and monitoring of Visual Merchandising headquarters budget in coordination with cross-functional teams (window display creation, pop-up design, imagery, coordination)
- Collect budgetary requirements from departmental teams and consolidate them into tracking tools
- Maintain budget tables and participate in forecasting preparation for budget cycles (Budget, R1, R2)
- Ensure close monitoring of committed expenditures and actual costs, flagging variances and anomalies promptly
- Prepare regular reporting for operational teams and Visual Merchandising leadership
- Support the International VM Budget Manager in steering the global budgeting process and coordinate data collection and validation from regional zones
- Verify consistency of submitted information against budgetary guidelines, activation plans, and network evolution
- Consolidate global VM costs and update synthesis documentation for executive presentation
- Conduct financial analyses of activity performance, including variance analysis (actual vs. budget) and key performance indicators
- Monitor budgets and analyse costs for special projects managed by Visual Merchandising, including pop-up stores, concept stores, and showrooms
- Ensure reliability of committed expenditures and actual costs for project-based initiatives
- Identify budgetary variances on projects and coordinate corrective action follow-up where necessary
- Participate in Anaplan tool configuration and updates during budgetary periods
- Manage system access, create project codes, and maintain referential data for tool functionality
- Identify user-reported anomalies and collaborate on resolution with relevant teams
- Support continuous improvement of budgeting tools and reporting to enhance process reliability
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses and prepare data extractions in response to senior management and operational team requests
- Provide daily support to colleagues on budgetary matters, cost tracking, and tool utilisation
Qualifications
- University degree (Bac +4/5 or equivalent) in finance, accounting, management, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' professional experience in management accounting, financial analysis, budgetary planning, or equivalent role, preferably in an international environment
- Strong command of financial and budgetary data
- Demonstrated rigour, organisational capability, and reliability in managing multiple concurrent priorities in demanding environments
- Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail
- Proven ability to structure and validate complex financial data
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with comfort engaging diverse stakeholders in international settings
- Demonstrated responsiveness, intellectual curiosity, and flexibility
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years in management accounting, financial analysis, budgetary piloting, or related functions, ideally within an international setting. Experience with budgeting tools such as Anaplan or ERP systems like SAP is advantageous.
Education
