Christian Dior Couture in Munich hires a Tailor for in‑boutique alterations, repairs and couture‑level garment care at the Maximilianstrasse boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute precise fitting, marking, alterations, repairs and pressing of garments to couture standards
- Deliver timely completion of client alteration requests while maintaining exceptional finish and quality control
- Advise Sales Associates and clients on fit, styling and technical tailoring solutions
- Demonstrate and maintain deep product and tailoring knowledge specific to Christian Dior collections
- Provide an exceptional client experience through professional, discreet interaction and service
- Collaborate with the boutique team and participate in activities that support overall store objectives
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional ready‑to‑wear tailoring experience, including work with complex fabrics such as silk and leather
- Proven ability to maintain the highest standards of seamstressing and finishing in a luxury retail environment
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with high‑profile clients
- Professional personal presentation and customer‑facing demeanor
- Solution‑oriented, able to work independently and manage multiple alteration requests
- Fluent in German and/or English
Skills
Experience
At least 3 years of hands‑on ready‑to‑wear tailoring experience, ideally including boutique or retail exposure and experience with delicate or complex textiles (silk, leather, couture finishes).
Education
Vocational qualification or formal training in tailoring, dressmaking or equivalent apprenticeship; demonstrable professional portfolio of alterations and garment construction.
