Christian Dior Couture in Paris seeks a Tailor (Men's Alterations) for the 30 avenue Montaigne boutique.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform precise alterations and repairs on men's garments in accordance with Maison quality standards, including disassembly and reassembly of pieces.
  • Select appropriate materials and tools for each intervention and follow alteration sheets and internal specifications.
  • Baste, assemble and execute hand and machine stitches, hems and finishing operations; execute leather stitching and patching where required.
  • Press and finish garments to ensure impeccable presentation and fit; verify final fit and quality control before delivery to client.
  • Maintain an organised, clean and secure atelier space and ensure proper handling and storage of customer garments.
  • Occasionally produce made‑to‑measure items (trousers, skirts, bases) from provided patterns and fabrics, following production instructions and measurements.

Qualifications

  • Technical mastery of garment measurements and fittings; able to take accurate client measurements when required.
  • Solid knowledge of textile characteristics and alteration techniques including assembly, mounting, leather sewing and visible/invisible repairs.
  • Demonstrable precision, speed of execution and consistency in finishing work.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, punctuality, discretion and the ability to adapt to tight client deadlines.
  • Commitment to Maison standards of quality, confidentiality and client service.

Experience

The successful candidate will be located in Paris, Île-de-France, France.
