Christian Dior Couture seeks a Strategic Buyer in Pforzheim, Germany — responsible for supplier sourcing, contract negotiations and capacity planning.
Role & Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate and onboard new external manufacturers and material suppliers for leather goods and fashion collections.
- Define supplier capacities and pricing, develop production know‑how and plan allocation of orders for each collection.
- Source and procure all production materials in alignment with collection schedules and quality requirements.
- Manage supplier relationships to drive continuous improvements in price, quality and lead times; identify and mitigate supply risks.
- Lead contractual negotiations and formalise supplier agreements.
- Collaborate closely with Development, Production Planning and Quality teams to anticipate risks, secure procurement timelines and improve delivery capabilities.
- Contribute to the pricing process and prepare relevant KPI reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a comparable procurement/sourcing role, preferably within apparel, leather goods or high‑end manufacturing.
- Proven track record in supplier sourcing, contract negotiation and capacity planning.
- Strong command of SAP and MS‑Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication in German and English.
- Analytical mindset with experience producing and presenting procurement KPIs.
Skills
Experience
At least 3 years in a comparable procurement or strategic sourcing position, ideally within fashion, leather goods, or outsourced manufacturing environments.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Textile/Leather Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Pforzheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, with easy access to Stuttgart.
