Christian Dior Couture seeks a Sourcing Manager – Leather in Paris to drive material innovation and supplier partnerships for luxury collections.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct active market intelligence on leather, finishes, treatments, and innovations aligned with the maison's creative identity and strategic direction
- Develop deep expertise in leather transformation and treatment techniques, and propose proactive innovations in collaboration with the Design Studio
- Translate creative concepts and marketing briefs into concrete, relevant, and feasible material propositions
- Collaborate closely with Design teams to support creative development through material innovation
- Work with Production teams to ensure smooth industrialization and anticipate technical constraints
- Communicate and share information about materials used in collections; identify technical and industrial risks and propose solutions
- Ensure consistency and precision of colour development between Design, Development, and Production teams, and pilot colour harmonization and approval processes
- Develop and maintain a network of leather suppliers meeting the maison's standards for excellence, innovation, and quality
- Identify new sourcing opportunities aligned with long-term strategy and the maison's requirements
- Select the most suitable supplier partners according to project needs, technical constraints, and creative directions
- Monitor development timelines and ensure material availability for sampling phases
- Track and communicate progress, points of attention, and risks to relevant teams
- Support industrialization phases by identifying technical issues requiring adjustments or further development
Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of leather, treatments, finishes, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to propose innovative material developments whilst anticipating market trends and evolutions
- Strong capacity to analyse creative and marketing briefs and translate them into concrete sourcing strategies
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Active listening, adaptability, and relational intelligence in creative and technical environments
- Proactive approach oriented towards solutions and problem-solving
- Excellent organizational capacity and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong familiarity with leather industry supplier networks
- Deep sensitivity to luxury standards, product quality, and artisanal craftsmanship

3 to 5 years of experience in materials sourcing within the luxury industry, with confirmed expertise in leather and its applications in fashion, leather goods, or accessories.
