Role & Responsibilities

  • Assemble complete prototypes and samples of wallets and mini bags at the bench, ensuring precision and conformity with technical drawings.
  • Read and interpret technical models, patterns and specification sheets to translate design intent into functional prototypes.
  • Execute preparation and assembly stages of construction across a variety of leathers and materials.
  • Fit and mount metal components and hardware (fittings, closures, handles) with meticulous attention to finish.
  • Collaborate closely with modelling/patternmaking, product development and industrialisation teams to align prototypes with production constraints.
  • Identify technical criticalities and propose practical improvements to facilitate industrialisation and production scalability.
  • Support product finalisation and troubleshooting during pre-production trials, maintaining documentation of modifications and findings.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience assembling prototypes/samples of luxury handbags or small leather goods.
  • Demonstrable ability to read and accurately interpret technical patterns, models and product specifications.
  • Deep knowledge of bag construction techniques and finishing processes.
