Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute complete hand-assembly, montage, and finishing of haute couture garments following design specifications and model interpretations from the artistic studio
  • Collaborate closely with modelists, stylists, cutters, workshop supervisors, and handlers to realize design intent across collections, prototypes, and custom/VIP orders
  • Comprehend and interpret technical patterns, model sheets, and sketches; execute assembly sequencing based on upstream toile guidance from haute couture modelists
  • Propose technical solutions to enhance feasibility, construction quality, and final aesthetic outcomes
  • Execute fittings adjustments and refinements following client try-ons and styling sessions
  • Work with diverse materials—including fabrics, leather, fur, integrated components, embroidery—demonstrating mastery of textile behavior and material properties
  • Maintain unwavering adherence to the House's quality, cutting, and finishing standards
  • Meet construction timelines established by supervisory staff; accommodate collection cycle rhythms through flexible scheduling
  • Conduct garment retouching and alterations following client fittings
  • Mentor and support apprentices, new team members, and junior seamstresses in skill-building and knowledge transmission

Qualifications

  • CAP, BEP, or professional baccalaureate in Fashion and Garment Construction or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 8–10 years of demonstrated experience in haute couture garment construction, assembly, and finishing
  • Expert proficiency in hand-sewing techniques and manual assembly methodologies
  • Advanced technical literacy: ability to read toiles, interpret patterns, and provide constructive technical feedback
