Christian Dior Couture in Paris seeks a Senior Retail Merchandiser — Europe to drive category performance, showroom buying and cross‑functional coordination.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Monitor weekly and monthly KPI performance for the category across Europe (sales, sell‑through, stock levels) and deliver accurate, actionable reporting.
  • Identify performance drivers and propose optimisation actions (replenishment, transfers, SKU focuses) to improve sell‑through and margin.
  • Prepare and present business reviews and analytical presentations to regional and central stakeholders.
  • Participate fully in the European showroom buying cycle (four sessions per year): consolidate market feedback, define buying strategy by product line and cluster, place orders, and monitor relevant KPIs during showroom.
  • Define and manage the permanent seasonal assortment by cluster; recommend SKU additions or phase‑outs and liaise with Europe Planning on forecasts.
  • Allocate merchandise to stores in line with cluster strategy and market needs, coordinating closely with Supply Chain and Planning.
  • Act as a central interface between the Business Unit, Europe Head Office functions (Supply Chain, Planning, Visual Merchandising, Training) and local retail merchandisers to ensure consistent category information flow.
  • Drive retail community engagement and design impactful communications for market teams.
  • Maintain in‑depth product expertise and perform continuous competitive monitoring (positioning, launches, pricing, best‑sellers) to enrich quantitative analysis with qualitative market insight.

Qualifications

  • Preferred 7–10 years in retail merchandising or merchandise planning; minimum 5 years required — ideally within a luxury Maison.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written); ability to operate in an international, multicultural environment.
  • Strong analytical rigor with proven experience in KPI tracking, business review preparation and data‑driven decision making.
  • High product sensitivity and commercial intuition for assortment, pricing, materials and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to synthesize analysis for senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail and a client‑ and results‑oriented approach.

Experience
