Christian Dior Couture in Fosso, Italy seeks a Senior Production Planner to lead SKU-level production planning across internal sites and external partners.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and update the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and short- to mid-term SKU-level production plans.
- Issue and manage internal and external production orders, ensuring alignment with business priorities, lead times and operational constraints.
- Assess feasibility of production plans via finite capacity analysis and bottleneck management.
- Reconcile load vs. capacity across the entire manufacturing network (internal sites and third-party contractors) and coordinate structured capacity confirmation cycles.
- Conduct regular operational routines with subcontractors to monitor progress, manage constraints, confirm deliveries and implement recovery plans.
- Manage operational escalations and propose alternative replanning scenarios (reallocations, lot splits, mix changes).
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Material Planning to secure availability of leathers, components, soles, accessories and packaging at SKU and lot level.
- Monitor order execution and production milestones, addressing impacts from material shortages, supplier delays, quality holds and rework.
- Drive expediting and recovery actions while ensuring timely, effective communication to internal and external stakeholders.
- Plan and control production for new launches, seasonal ramp-ups, capsules and special projects to guarantee industrial readiness and realistic schedules.
- Track and improve planning and execution KPIs (e.g., OTD/OTIF, plan adherence, lead time, WIP, backlog, schedule stability, capacity saturation).
- Prepare structured reports, perform root-cause analysis on plan vs. actual variances and define corrective actions for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Management, Economics or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in production planning and/or supply chain within structured manufacturing environments; footwear and fashion-luxury experience is a strong plus.
- Proven track record managing multi-site production networks and working with third-party manufacturers.
- Advanced knowledge of MPS/MRP and finite capacity planning methodologies, lead time and WIP management.
- Excellent data quality focus and reporting capability.
- Fluent English.
- Strong problem-solving skills, proactive risk management and operational precision.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and stakeholder-communication skills.

Experience
At least 7 years of experience in production planning or supply chain roles within structured manufacturing environments; demonstrated experience with multi-site networks and management of third-party manufacturers. Prior experience in footwear or luxury fashion is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Management, Economics or equivalent.
