Christian Dior Couture seeks a Senior Pattern Maker for Paris menswear workshops. Permanent role, 8–10+ years experience required.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Interpret and construct volumes on wooden blocks based on studio sketches, collaborating with pattern makers and cutters to finalize toiles and patterns
  • Guide and oversee the assembly process with lead seamstresses, adapting techniques to diverse materials and finishes
  • Monitor quality optimization and propose technical solutions to enhance feasibility and final rendering
  • Participate in fittings and ensure adherence to Dior's exacting standards for cut, finish, and construction
  • Maintain production schedules established by workshop supervisors
  • Mentor apprentices, junior artisans, and entry-level seamstresses, transferring specialized techniques and craftsmanship knowledge
  • Collaborate with first hands, stylists, cutters, design office staff, and CAD/CAM specialists to achieve design intent

Qualifications

  • Formal training in fashion design, pattern making, or tailoring (CAP, BEP, or professional baccalaureate in fashion/modelling/pattern making)
  • Demonstrated mastery of pattern-making techniques, assembly, and garment construction

  • Command of industrial construction and assembly techniques
