Role & Responsibilities
- Interpret artistic sketches and translate them into volume and structure on wooden dress forms
- Develop toiles and work with CAD/pattern-making teams to refine and finalize patterns
- Guide and oversee garment assembly with senior craftspeople, adapting to diverse materials and techniques
- Conduct fittings and oversee final adjustments, proposing technical solutions to enhance both feasibility and quality
- Collaborate closely with first hands, stylists, cutters, and the technical atelier team throughout the production process
- Meet production deadlines established by senior atelier management
- Uphold Dior's exacting standards for cut, finish, and quality across all pieces
- Mentor apprentices, new team members, and junior craftspeople to preserve atelier expertise
- Remain flexible with scheduling during collection periods, adhering to the modulation system
Qualifications
- Diploma in fashion design, pattern-making, or tailoring (CAP, BEP, or baccalauréat in fashion/pattern-making)
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in pattern-making, garment construction, or similar atelier roles
- Advanced expertise in tailoring, pattern drafting, and garment assembly techniques
- Profound knowledge of textiles, fabrics, and fabric behavior across diverse materials
- Exceptional attention to detail, precision, and quality standards
- Proficiency in industrial assembly and manufacturing techniques
- Fluent in French; English is highly desirable
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for fittings and events

Experience
Minimum 10 years of demonstrated experience in pattern-making, garment construction, and tailoring within a luxury or haute couture environment, with proven expertise in either men's tailored or unstructured silhouettes.
Education
CAP (Certificat d'Aptitude Professionnelle), BEP (Brevet d'Études Professionnelles), or baccalauréat professionnel in Fashion, Pattern-Making, or Tailoring.
