Christian Dior Couture seeks Senior Pattern Maker for women's ready-to-wear production in Paris. Hybrid, permanent role.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Construct and refine pattern pieces based on artistic sketches and design briefs from the studio
  • Collaborate closely with lead seamstresses, designers, cutters, and CAD/CAM pattern specialists
  • Interpret and create garment volumes on wooden dress forms
  • Develop and finalize toiles in preparation for pattern grading by the CAD/CAM department
  • Oversee assembly guidance and montage with the team of lead seamstresses across all fabric types
  • Monitor and optimize the final finish, proposing technical solutions to enhance feasibility and quality
  • Participate in fittings and adjustments throughout the production cycle
  • Ensure adherence to quality, cutting, and finishing standards specific to Christian Dior Couture
  • Transmit technical expertise through mentorship of apprentices, new team members, and junior seamstresses
  • Respect production timelines established by workshop supervisors

Qualifications

  • CAP, BEP, or Baccalauréat professionnel in Fashion Métiers, Modelisme, or Patronage
  • Minimum 8–10 years of verified experience in pattern making and garment construction within a comparable luxury environment
  • Advanced expertise in fabric knowledge, textile properties, and behavior
  • Mastery of industrial construction and assembly techniques
  • Exceptional precision, attention to detail, and ability to execute complex patronage
  • Fluent French language proficiency
