Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute patterns for collections, customer orders, and VIP commissions across ready-to-wear and couture segments
  • Collaborate with pattern cutters, seamstresses, atelier supervisors, technicians, and suppliers to ensure technical and aesthetic precision
  • Create three-dimensional volumes through toile development and flat-pattern transformation and creation
  • Execute pattern corrections and modifications both flat and through muslin toiles
  • Prepare detailed piece specifications and technical documentation
  • Compile assembly instruction sheets and component nomenclatures using PLM systems
  • Ensure adherence to technical specifications, textile properties, and the elevated quality standards established by the Artistic Direction and Production
  • Quality-control all developed patterns and provide production-ready technical guidance
  • Respect production timelines and maintain the quality requirements inherent to the Maison
  • Mentor apprentices, junior modelists, and new team members in patternmaking techniques and the house aesthetic

Qualifications

  • Diploma in fashion design or specialized pattern-making (CAP, BEP, or Bac professional in Fashion Trades or CAD/CAM Pattern-Making)
  • Minimum 8–10 years of demonstrated experience in pattern-making or equivalent roles in similar luxury or fashion environments
  • Expert-level proficiency with specialized modeling software, particularly MODARIS LECTRA
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fabrics, textiles, and material behavior
  • Exceptional attention to detail, precision, and a strong sense of craft quality
  • Proven ability to interpret design sketches creatively and translate them into production-ready patterns
  • Strong technical aptitude for draping and assembly techniques
  • Capacity to adapt to the rapid pace and seasonal demands of haute couture and ready-to-wear collections
