Christian Dior Couture in Paris seeks a Senior Components Developer (WRTW & Haute Couture) — responsible for trim development, sourcing and supplier management.
Role & Responsibilities
- Research and source trims and accessories for Womens RTW and Haute Couture lines, monitoring market trends and technical innovations.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive trim library with material specifications, pricing, supplier data and testing results.
- Collaborate with designers to translate aesthetic intent into technically viable trim solutions and provide material/construction guidance.
- Manage trim sampling, approval cycles and quality controls to ensure consistency across development and production runs.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times and terms with approved suppliers to meet commercial targets and delivery schedules.
- Work with product development and sourcing teams to validate trim performance, durability and compliance with safety/environmental standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve trim issues arising during development or production, proposing corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate records of trim usage, costs and supplier performance and present progress in cross‑functional meetings.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' professional experience in trim/components development for fashion brands or global trim suppliers; 5–7 years preferred.
- Proven experience with both textile trims and hard trims, including knowledge of physical properties and performance testing.
- Demonstrable technical knowledge of zip componentry and other critical hardware.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast‑moving environment.
- Fluent in French and English; Italian is a strong plus.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Materials Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
