Christian Dior Couture — Paris: Risk & Insurance Manager to lead global insurance programmes, risk mapping and business continuity for the Maison.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead operational management of the Group insurance strategy for Christian Dior Couture and coordinate implementation across Zones and Business Units for all programs (e.g., DDPE, Transport, Liability, Construction, Global Jewellers, Events, Fine Art).
  • Analyse and manage enterprise risks in close collaboration with Business Units — construction, events, production & logistics, and emerging exposures including cyber (in coordination with the CISO).
  • Manage claims: oversee major loss handling, support subsidiaries during significant incidents, and liaise with insurers and brokers through the claims lifecycle.
  • Negotiate and place insurance programmes outside the Group (standalone programmes) and run tenders for large-scale construction or project-related placements.
  • Coordinate and animate the network of local correspondents (predominantly local Internal Controllers) to ensure consistent global coverage and local implementation of insurance and risk policies.
  • Drive the annual damage valuation campaign: lead central consolidation of values and ensure alignment with regional submissions.
  • Develop and deploy risk-management tools, pedagogical materials and workshops to raise operational awareness; maintain and update the Risk Management SharePoint repository.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise risk maps: provide methodology, conduct stakeholder interviews, document analyses, evaluate risk levels and consolidate results with Internal Control.
  • Follow up on remediation plans and ensure implementation of insurers’ recommendations and the Group’s damage prevention policy.
  • Design and coordinate business continuity, emergency response and recovery toolkits adapted to the operational realities of Business Units and subsidiaries; animate continuity-of-activity initiatives and crisis management preparedness.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive professional experience in risk management for large international organisations; relevant experience may combine in-house risk management, brokerage, insurance underwriting, audit or consultancy.
  • Proven experience in insurance programme placement and negotiation, claims management and vendor/broker interaction on complex international placements.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities with demonstrated experience in risk mapping and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage senior stakeholders across diverse geographies and functions.
  • Pragmatic, methodical and pedagogical approach with a solution orientation and a collaborative mindset.

Experience

At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in risk management within large international companies, with possible prior roles in brokerage, insurance companies, audit firms or consulting.

Education

University degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Law, Business Administration or a related discipline; advanced degree or professional insurance/risk qualifications preferred.
