Christian Dior Couture seeks a Retail Performance Manager in Tokyo to translate global retail policies into local boutique processes and lead performance projects, process standardization and user acceptance testing. The role reports to the Retail Vice President, works closely with the manager handling headquarters communications, and is a permanent, full-time position with a hybrid working mode.
Role & Responsibilities
- Translate the retail performance strategy and headquarters-approved policies into clear, actionable initiatives for boutiques.
- Lead the local rollout and operational phases of retail performance projects, including reporting, digital tools, clienteling processes and other performance-improvement initiatives.
- Standardize boutique operating processes and ways of working in line with the current retail performance roadmap.
- Plan, coordinate and execute an increasing volume of user acceptance testing (UAT), consolidate boutique feedback and follow up on required actions through to completion.
- Maintain a strong understanding of boutique operations and practical, effective communication with boutique teams.
- Functionally manage boutique Operations Managers by aligning priorities, supporting project execution, monitoring progress and helping resolve issues.
- Support boutique teams through change with clear communications, coordinated training, practical guidance and regular follow-up.
- Translate agreed global policies into workable local processes, coordinate stakeholders and ensure their adoption across boutiques.
- Work closely with the manager responsible for headquarters communications to turn global policies into local execution.
Qualifications
- Hands-on retail industry experience and a strong understanding of boutique operations, priorities and day-to-day practices.
- A track record of translating strategies and headquarters policies into actionable processes and delivering projects at boutique level.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills, with the ability to functionally manage boutique Operations Managers and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, organization, prioritization and follow-through.
- Experience in process standardization and user acceptance testing (UAT), or willingness to develop these skills.
- Fluent Japanese.
- Comfort using English, handling basic emails and chat, and maintaining a commitment to continued learning.
- A fast learner who works autonomously and collaborates across functions.
- Strong interest in digital tools and a customer-centric mindset.
- Clear, practical communication skills.
- Stakeholder coordination and the ability to influence without relying on direct authority.
- Practical project delivery skills and strong follow-through.
- Understanding of boutique realities and openness to feedback.
