Christian Dior Couture in Paris seeks a Retail Merchandising Manager — Home & Lifestyle (temporary maternity cover) based in Paris, Ile‑de‑France.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and deploy a targeted commercial strategy for the Maison & Art de Vivre category and cascade the roadmap across geographic zones.
  • Identify growth enablers and barriers; design and implement actionable plans to accelerate sales and category penetration (new territories, high‑end initiatives and expanded services).
  • Produce top‑down revenue projections by zone and category in collaboration with finance and market teams; track billing and commercial KPIs.
  • Manage performance analysis and reporting, generating qualitative feedback and recommendations to markets.
  • Own assortment planning: construct the core offer, define cadence of new launches, set open‑to‑buy by zone and make buying recommendations.
  • Coordinate buying sessions and showrooms with zone teams and internal stakeholders (2–3 sessions per year).
  • Lead client events coordination with CRM, VM and market teams — handle order capture, application management and delivery follow‑up.
  • Supervise B2B orders, Gift Shop and book assortment for the Dior Galerie; ensure retail and off‑retail channels are aligned.
  • Partner closely with Supply Chain and Purchasing to align production, delivery plans and sales forecasts to retail priorities.
  • Animate and represent the Maison across markets; work in the field to support market needs and continuously improve retail execution.
  • Manage and develop a small commercial team: set priorities, follow objective attainment and foster a supportive, high‑performance climate.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years' professional experience in commercial development or merchandising, preferably within luxury retail or premium lifestyle brands.
  • Proven experience in assortment planning, open‑to‑buy management and revenue projection across multiple territories.
  • Demonstrated people management experience with the ability to set priorities and drive team performance.
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial judgement; ability to synthesise data into convincing recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; acts as an internal ambassador for the category.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with test & learn approaches and building a category with high growth potential.
  • Affinity for product and the Maison / Art de Vivre universe is a plus.

Experience
