Role & Responsibilities

  • Monitor category performance indicators including sales and sell-through metrics, implementing corrective action plans with regional teams as needed
  • Define and execute assortment strategies and cluster-based buying plans tailored to each collection and market segment
  • Coordinate product collection briefs by consolidating seasonal sales analysis, competitive pricing intelligence, and regional market feedback into cohesive launch strategies
  • Manage currency price positioning across markets, monitoring foreign exchange fluctuations and competitive dynamics to maintain pricing equilibrium
  • Oversee showroom organization and pre-buy processes, estimating volume requirements and maintaining detailed segmentation tools for store formats
  • Drive buyer review meetings across regional offices regarding assortments, quantity validation, and market-specific debriefs
  • Balance product line allocations against Open-to-Buy budgets while respecting regional assortment preferences and permanent offering requirements
  • Optimize store openings by aligning inventory allocation with delivery schedules and product availability
  • Facilitate cross-category collaboration with visual merchandising, e-commerce, and product marketing teams to maximize product launches and seasonal activations
  • Develop and champion in-season rebalancing opportunities and opportunistic replenishment strategies

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business, Commerce, Retail Management, Luxury and Fashion Marketing, or equivalent discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Retail Merchandiser or Central Buyer in the fashion industry
  • Proven experience managing teams and reporting directly to senior leadership
  • Fluency in French and English (written and spoken); Italian is advantageous
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Analytical mindset with exceptional synthesis, organizational, and initiative-driven capabilities
  • Demonstrated rigor, precision, and attention to detail in data management and assortment planning
