Christian Dior Couture — Retail Merchandiser (Children's Collection) in Paris. Permanent full-time role focused on assortment planning, buying and sell-through.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as the liaison between the Baby Dior business unit and regional markets to translate global product strategy into local merchandising actions.
- Produce weekly, monthly and yearly sales reporting; monitor sell-through and key performance indicators by zone and category and propose tactical re‑stocks.
- Lead buying cycles (four times per year): prepare Buying Tool data, calculate historical sales and purchase histories, estimate needs by animation/color/zone and finalise purchases with regions.
- Define and manage price lifecycle and markdown strategy (biannual markdowns), coordinate with Supply Chain to determine distribution to boutiques, outlets or family sales and update price currencies in the Prior tool.
- Coordinate qualitative market feedback from zones to inform marketing and studio teams and feed ad hoc analyses following weekly results.
- Support daily commercial requests from zones (re-stocks, VIP room organisation) and coordinate with visual merchandising, ADV and Supply Chain teams; manage one intern.
Qualifications
- Degree from a business school or engineering school (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years' professional experience in merchandising, buying or supply roles within fashion or luxury retail.
- Strong retailer mindset with proven numerical and commercial acumen (OTB, sell‑through, assortment building).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English.
- Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Prior and buying/reporting tools.
- Highly developed analytical, synthesis, organisation and proactivity skills.

At least three years of hands-on experience in merchandising, buying or supply-chain adjacent roles within the fashion or luxury sectors, with demonstrable expertise in assortment planning, OTB/buying cycles, sell-through optimisation and markdown strategy.
Education
Degree from a business school or engineering school (or equivalent).
