Dior Parfums seeks a Retail Design Specialist in Dubai to lead travel retail architecture projects across multiple store formats in the Middle East region.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead flagship projects end-to-end as Project Manager, from scope definition through execution, handover, and post-opening review
- Manage B and C category projects as Design Specialist, producing and adapting technical design packages for implementation
- Translate design concepts into construction-ready packages, accounting for feasibility, local regulations, and technical constraints
- Produce architectural plans, layouts, and technical documentation aligned with creative briefs, brand guidelines, and operational requirements
- Review and validate drawings, materials, finishes, and technical solutions to ensure quality, durability, and brand consistency
- Coordinate with HQ architecture, purchaser, visual merchandising, construction, contractors, and suppliers to drive smooth project delivery
- Act as primary point of contact for key stakeholders, driving accountability across the full project chain
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, verify compliance with design intent, and prepare reports for headquarters
- Identify project risks, resolve technical issues, propose solutions, and adapt plans to maintain timelines and quality standards
- Build and monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables according to project complexity
- Support budget control and design-to-cost optimization, particularly on flagship projects
- Provide structured reporting to management and stakeholders, highlighting risks, delays, and mitigation actions
- Ensure every project reflects the Maison's image, client experience ambitions, and operational needs
Qualifications
- Degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in retail design, ideally within beauty and cosmetics
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
- Deep understanding of general contracting works and boutique construction
- Design- and quality-oriented with strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in retail design, ideally within the beauty and cosmetics sector. Experience managing boutique construction and site execution is essential. Demonstrated track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related design discipline.
