Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee and continuously monitor raw material quality performance across the supplier base.
- Design and implement supplier quality risk assessments and mitigation plans.
- Lead supplier qualification and re‑qualification programs, including on‑site audits.
- Manage pre‑series validation of raw materials to ensure conformity with technical specifications.
- Authorize batch releases of raw materials for production following established criteria.
- Coordinate and lead supplier escalation and corrective actions for critical quality issues.
- Develop and deploy supplier development initiatives to raise capability and compliance.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to foster quality partnerships.

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in supplier quality, materials quality or related functions within fashion, leather goods or complex manufacturing environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical or Industrial Engineering, Leather Technology or a related discipline (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience conducting supplier audits and qualification processes.
- Strong knowledge of raw material specifications, quality control methodologies and batch release processes.
- Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory frameworks such as ISO 9001.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills; ability to lead cross‑functional problem solving with suppliers.

At least 5 years of progressive experience in supplier quality, materials quality assurance or supplier development, preferably within fashion, leather‑goods or other high‑quality manufacturing sectors.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical or Industrial Engineering, Leather Technology or equivalent; Master's degree or advanced technical training preferred.
