Christian Dior Couture seeks a Quality Plant Development Engineer in Florence, Italy to lead quality validation and mitigate new-product risks.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and mitigate quality risks associated with new product development throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Lead quality validation gates and coordinate risk analyses (including FMEA) and corrective action plans during industrialization.
  • Collaborate with Quality HQ and Product Development to define and produce Acceptance Books that specify quality criteria for new products.
  • Validate industrialization readiness of new products and ensure production processes meet defined quality standards.
  • Integrate quality considerations early in the product development cycle to prevent non-conformities and rework.
  • Drive plant-level continuous improvement of product development processes from a quality perspective.
  • Manage and deliver supplier training prior to product launch to clarify work instructions and customer quality criteria.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to product quality, validations and change controls.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in quality, product development or industrialization within manufacturing environments.
  • Proven track record in managing quality gates and product industrialization projects, preferably in luxury fashion, leather goods or apparel production.
  • Demonstrable experience conducting structured risk assessments and defining mitigation plans (e.g., FMEA).
  • Experience working with suppliers and plant teams to implement process controls and deliver supplier training.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to synthesise technical information into clear acceptance criteria and documentation.

Experience
