Role & Responsibilities

• Execute the complete construction of haute couture garments including coats, skirts, dresses, jackets, and trousers according to individual specialization in either fluid or tailored silhouettes
• Collaborate seamlessly with pattern makers, stylists, cutters, material handlers, and workshop supervisors to interpret artistic studio drawings and ensure technical accuracy
• Interpret technical patterns, design files, and sketches; guide junior pattern makers and preliminary canvas work through to final assembly
• Perform both machine-based assembly and hand finishing on bespoke and small-batch pieces, adapting techniques to diverse materials including fabrics, leather, fur, and integrated components
• Follow all fitting adjustments and technical refinements following client and VIP try-ons, proposing solutions to enhance feasibility and final quality
• Ensure strict adherence to the Maison's quality, cut, and finishing standards, while meeting production timelines established by workshop management
• Identify and integrate enhancement elements through material selection, specialized techniques, and accessory integration to elevate garment value
• Execute alterations and retouches following fittings and final adjustments
• Mentor and support apprentices, new hires, and junior seamstresses, actively transmitting artisanal savoir-faire and technical expertise

Qualifications

• Formal training in CAP, BEP, or Bac Pro qualification in Fashion and Garment Construction or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 10 years of verifiable professional experience in an equivalent seamstress or garment construction role within a comparable luxury environment
• Expert-level proficiency in couture and ready-to-wear construction techniques, with demonstrated manual dexterity and the ability to read and interpret technical patterns and patronage
• Advanced knowledge of textile properties, fabric behavior, and material characteristics, with mastery of industrial machinery including flat-seam machines, sergers, and pressing equipment
• Superior command of both machine and hand-assembly techniques, capable of producing impeccable seams and finishes to exacting luxury standards
• Proven ability to interpret creative sketches with technical precision; capacity to adapt seamlessly to the rhythm and demands of seasonal collections
• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills; autonomous, dynamic, and proactive with exceptional patience and responsiveness to technical challenges
• Meticulous attention to detail with an uncompromising commitment to precision; curiosity and openness to continuous improvement with strong problem-solving capabilities
• Fluency in French language; English proficiency is a valued asset
• Flexibility with working hours during collection periods, including participation in modulation scheduling systems
• Ability to travel within France and internationally for specific events, fittings, and collection launches as required

Education
