Parfums Christian Dior seeks Purchaser & Developer in Shanghai for cosmetic packaging procurement and supplier management.
Role & Responsibilities
- Independently manage purchasing and development of new projects from brief through delivery, optimizing cost, planning, and quality outcomes
- Respond proactively to headquarters, distribution centers, and market teams on reorder specifications and develop effective solutions addressing lead time, pricing, capacity, and quality
- Ensure supplier compliance with purchasing strategy and brand policies
- Collaborate with suppliers on innovation, eco-conception, and sustainable packaging material solutions aligned with corporate environmental commitments
- Provide regular and immediate reporting to management on project progress, risks, and emerging issues
- Conduct frequent project review meetings with suppliers and headquarters teams to maintain alignment and momentum
- Contribute to team objectives and performance metrics including cost control, on-time in-full (OTIF) delivery, quality compliance, sustainability, and localization
- Execute cross-functional initiatives as assigned by management
- Implement purchasing strategy consistently in daily operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Demonstrated passion for luxury and quality-oriented mindset
- 2–3 years of professional experience in cosmetics, packaging, or related procurement fields
- Proficiency in project management including cost analysis, timeline planning, and specification control
- Strong understanding of cosmetic packaging production processes and techniques (materials, printing, decoration, assembly)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Rigorous, logical methodology with autonomous, efficiency-driven, and results-oriented approach
- Ability to identify, analyze, and solve issues and risks under pressure
Skills
Experience
2–3 years of professional experience in cosmetics packaging, procurement, or a closely related field. Prior exposure to luxury brand procurement standards and Asian supplier management is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant discipline such as materials science, packaging engineering, supply chain management, or business administration.
