Christian Dior Couture seeks a Program Director, Collections PMO in Florence, Italy to lead PMO activities from design to finished goods.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and line‑manage the PMO team of Project Managers and Coordinators, setting priorities, mentoring talent and ensuring consistent methodology.
  • Own end‑to‑end management of collection projects across Design, Product Development, Sourcing, Production and Logistics from calendar definition to finished goods shipment.
  • Define, consolidate and monitor collection calendars, milestones and gate reviews; validate deliverables at key gates (prototypes, samples, production readiness, bulk completion).
  • Develop and enforce PMO governance, methodologies, tools and templates (WBS, Gantt, critical path) to ensure consistency and industrial feasibility across collections.
  • Plan and allocate resources across projects and collections, applying capacity planning and critical path analysis to meet delivery targets.
  • Implement KPI frameworks, RAG status reporting and performance dashboards to monitor portfolio health and drive continuous improvement in time‑to‑market and execution reliability.
  • Identify, escalate and resolve cross‑collection risks and issues; design and deploy mitigation plans to protect business performance.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional alignment meetings and executive project reviews; act as principal interface with the Industrial Director and senior management on portfolio performance.
  • Prioritise projects and collections based on commercial importance, operational constraints and strategic initiatives (new categories, sourcing or process transformations).
  • Champion a robust project management culture and ensure disciplined use of PMO tools, PLM/ERP integrations and governance processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Management, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 10 years’ progressive experience in project/program management; prior experience in the fashion industry and in a similar PMO leadership role is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated mastery of project planning and portfolio management (WBS, Gantt, critical path, capacity planning) in complex, multi‑project environments.
  • Strong financial acumen including budgeting, cost tracking and business case evaluation.
  • Proven ability to operate with senior stakeholders and translate creative and commercial inputs into feasible industrial plans.
  • Fluency in English; Italian and French are mandatory for communication with cross‑functional and executive teams.

Experience

At least 10 years of progressive experience in project or program management, including demonstrable leadership of PMO functions and multi‑project portfolios within the fashion or luxury goods sector.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Management, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent).
