Christian Dior Couture seeks a Production Planning Specialist in Florence, Italy to consolidate collection and core production schedules for a manufacturing hub.
Role & Responsibilities
- Consolidate collection and permanent product plans into a single, integrated production demand for an assigned manufacturing pole.
- Develop and maintain short-, mid- and long-term production schedules aligned to available capacity and workforce constraints.
- Prioritise production sequencing to maximise manpower saturation and line efficiency across product typologies.
- Continuously update schedules in response to demand changes, capacity variations and operational constraints, and communicate changes clearly to manufacturing teams.
- Act as the primary planning counterpart for the assigned production pole and validate feasibility, sequencing and workload distribution with pole production planners.
- Monitor production progress against plan, identify deviations or risks, and propose coordinated re‑planning actions to secure continuity and delivery targets.
- Support production poles in managing capacity constraints, workload peaks and bottlenecks, and track planning KPIs such as schedule adherence and capacity utilisation.
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of standard planning rules, best practices and process improvements focused on capacity‑driven scheduling.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years (typically 3–5 years) of hands‑on experience in production planning, scheduling or capacity management within a manufacturing environment; experience in fashion, apparel or luxury manufacturing preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and planning tools; strong Microsoft Excel skills are mandatory.
- Solid understanding of industrial processes, workforce planning and operational constraints in a production context.
- Proven ability to translate complex planning inputs into clear, executable schedules and to manage competing priorities under time pressure.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional coordination capabilities, with a structured, pragmatic communication style.
- Problem‑solving mindset and execution orientation; ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced, change‑driven environments.
- English at B2 level or higher is mandatory; French is a plus.
