FG MANUFACTURE (Christian Dior Couture) in Lyon seeks a Production Director to lead industrial strategy, production performance and transformation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Translate corporate industrial strategy into operational objectives aligned with product‑mix evolution and business priorities.
- Define production plans and capacity trajectories in close coordination with Supply Chain to ensure on‑time delivery and resource adequacy.
- Forecast and secure required human, technical and organisational resources, adjusting plans to changing activity levels.
- Structure and evolve workshop organisation to support transformations in activity, formalise operating rules and ensure their adoption on the shop floor.
- Identify operational dysfunctions and implement durable corrective actions to improve flow, reliability and process control.
- Collaborate with Quality teams to maintain expected quality standards and reinforce process mastery.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (quality, service, costs, productivity, scrap) and drive performance improvement plans.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across all production levels, identifying optimisation levers and following through on action plans.
- Lead, mobilise and develop a management population and ~200 artisans/operators through coaching, training programs and skills‑transfer initiatives.
- Anticipate social and organisational tensions, maintaining a positive industrial climate during periods of change.
Qualifications
- Advanced technical degree (engineering or equivalent).
- Proven track record in production leadership or plant management, ideally 10–15 years in industrial and artisanal/mixed‑mode environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading organisations through transformation (organisational change, product‑mix evolution, scaling complexity).
- Strong leadership and people‑federation capabilities with experience developing managers and artisan skills.
- Analytical, results‑oriented mindset with a focus on operational excellence and process robustness.
Skills
Experience
Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in production or plant management, with substantial exposure to environments combining industrial processes and artisanal techniques; demonstrable experience driving transformation and performance delivery.
Education
Advanced technical degree (engineering or equivalent).
