Christian Dior Couture in Paris seeks a Product Development Group Manager to lead mens fashion categories. Fixed-term contract, Île-de-France.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 5–6 product development professionals, addressing operational challenges and fostering expertise growth through targeted training initiatives
- Supervise operational missions including PLM system management, budget oversight, product inventory control, and liaison with manufacturers and embroidery specialists
- Coordinate collection development, VIP custom orders, fabric and component sourcing, pattern creation, technical studies, and production scheduling with cross-functional departments to ensure alignment with quality standards, collection timelines, product pricing targets, and budget constraints
- Negotiate manufacturing lead times and delivery schedules, particularly during runway collection phases and show-related acceleration cycles
- Participate in fittings and prototype validation sessions with the creative studio to review technical modifications and approve samples
- Ensure pre-industrialisation compliance and quality testing protocols in partnership with production teams
- Support model standardisation procedures with the production department in preparation for manufacturing handoff
- Identify and implement process improvements across collection workflows to proactively mitigate product-related complications
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of professional experience in product development and product strategy
- Proven experience leading and managing a team successfully
- Bachelor's degree (Bac +4/5) from a fashion school or business school
- Strong command of English; Italian is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; PLM system knowledge is a plus
