Christian Dior Couture hiring Procurement Administration Manager for women's ready-to-wear in Paris. Manage fabric sourcing and supplier relations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Analyze supplier technical specifications and fabric characteristics, including quality assessments and production constraints in collaboration with the collection and production liaison team
- Participate in pre-purchase sessions with internal stakeholders; communicate fabric requirements and quantities to suppliers whilst validating lead times
- Engage in supplier price negotiations (P2) with the Procurement Direction; establish P1 pricing and input both into ERP systems
- Conduct supplier visits to negotiate volumes and delivery schedules, validate purchase orders, and manage order cancellations
- Identify and monitor critical fabric shipments; intervene directly with suppliers to resolve production issues, establish remediation plans, and track resolution progress
- Review fabric quality control protocols; communicate control specifications to the Padova procurement and quality reference teams
- Arbitrate fabric returns with suppliers and validate Procurement Direction approval; authorize replacement purchase orders within production constraints
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in textile procurement, fabric sourcing, or supply chain operations within luxury fashion
- Deep technical knowledge of fabrics, including quality assessment, supplier capabilities, and material specifications
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic category planning and performance improvement initiatives
- Proven ability to build and maintain long-term supplier relationships and negotiate effectively on price, timelines, and production schedules
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel capabilities with strong analytical skills
- Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external partners
