Parfums Christian Dior seeks PR Category Manager in Tokyo to lead public relations and communications strategies in luxury beauty market.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute and support comprehensive PR plans and campaigns for assigned product category (Skincare, Fragrance, or Makeup) under direction of the PR Manager
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts across print, digital, and social channels; pitch stories and secure media coverage
- Draft, edit, and manage press releases, media alerts, and social media content; adapt global press materials for the Japanese market while maintaining consistent brand messaging
- Coordinate with category PR teams and collaborate closely with product marketing, sales, and internal stakeholders to ensure balanced and efficient communication
- Plan and execute operational and logistical aspects of press, KOL, and influencer events including venue selection, scheduling, and guest management
- Monitor media coverage, analyze PR campaign performance metrics, and prepare comprehensive reports and stakeholder updates
- Manage and mentor junior PR team members, including assistants and interns, providing guidance and professional development
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in public relations, communications, or related luxury brand environment
- Deep understanding of the luxury beauty and cosmetics industry, including market trends, products, and key players in Japan
- Proven track record developing and executing successful PR campaigns and building strong media relationships
- Demonstrable expertise in influencer marketing and digital communications strategies
- Experience planning and executing high-impact PR events and activations
- Strong proficiency in budget management and financial planning
- Experience managing and mentoring junior team members
Skills
Experience
3+ years of professional experience in public relations, communications, or marketing within the luxury beauty or cosmetics industry, demonstrating success in developing and executing integrated PR campaigns, managing media relationships, and coordinating high-profile events.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, Journalism, or equivalent field; or equivalent professional experience in luxury brand communications.
