Christian Dior Couture in Milan seeks a Plant Project Leader to manage product development and industrialization for the assigned production hub.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate the modelling and prototyping capacity of the assigned production hub, defining priorities and resource allocation according to workload received from the Central Flow Manager and launch calendars.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of product development projects—from launch through validation and industrialization to final delivery—ensuring adherence to timelines, stylistic and quality specifications.
  • Monitor progress of assigned collections across development and industrialization phases, coordinate cross-functional teams and drive timely resolution of production or technical issues.
  • Ensure preparation, approval and timely release of the technical dossier to achieve the required "go prod" milestones for production setup.
  • Oversee sourcing and scheduling of raw materials for development and industrialization phases to support production plans.
  • Implement central Project Management methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives tailored to the hub; identify and mitigate process bottlenecks.
  • Provide regular, detailed reporting on project status, risks, critical issues and local performance KPIs to headquarters and central functions.
  • Coordinate follower sites to guarantee seamless information transfer and alignment among multiple production locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' proven experience in project management with responsibility for product development projects in industrial/manufacturing environments, preferably within luxury fashion or leather goods.
  • Deep knowledge of patternmaking, prototyping and industrialization processes.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and multi-project management capabilities.
  • Strong leadership, team development and stakeholder management skills; proven ability to influence cross-functional teams including Design, Quality, Planning, Purchasing, HQ and external suppliers.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are mandatory.
  • Proficiency in English (B2 or higher) required; good knowledge of French is a plus and in some contexts may be required.
  • Willingness to travel across Italy.

Experience
