Christian Dior Couture seeks a Plant Project Leader in Florence, Italy to manage product development and industrialisation projects within the production hub.
Role & Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate patternmaking and prototyping capacity within the assigned production hub, setting priorities and allocating resources according to workloads from the Central Flow Manager and collection launch calendars.
- Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle for assigned collections, from project initiation through validation, industrialisation and delivery of finished product, ensuring adherence to stylistic and quality specifications.
- Act as the primary project manager within the plant, aligning local activities with central directives (Project Manager Central, Flow Manager, Central Product Development) and ensuring efficient execution against timelines, cost targets and quality standards.
- Prepare and secure approval of the technical dossier and obtain timely "go prod" decisions to meet production set-up requirements.
- Monitor material sourcing and plan inputs required for development and industrialisation phases in coordination with Purchasing and Supply Chain stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve production or development bottlenecks, proactively managing risks, delays and critical issues; propose operational solutions and improvements.
- Implement central Project Management methodologies and local best practices, driving process optimisation specific to the production hub.
- Coordinate follower sites to ensure smooth information transfer and alignment across multiple production locations.
- Provide regular, detailed reporting on project status, risks, KPIs and plant performance to HQ and central functions.
Qualifications
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years' proven experience in project management, with strong emphasis on product development projects in industrial/manufacturing contexts; experience in luxury fashion or leather goods preferred.
- Deep knowledge of patternmaking (modellistica), prototyping and industrialisation processes.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to motivate, coach and drive cross-functional teams in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; proven ability to produce project reports and KPI analyses.
- Fluent English (B2 or higher) is mandatory; working knowledge of French is a strong advantage and may be required in certain contexts.
- Availability for travel across Italy.

Experience
At least 5 years of project management experience in product development within an industrial or manufacturing environment, ideally within luxury fashion or leather goods, with responsibility for multi-disciplinary teams and cross-site coordination.
Education
University degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
