Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the physico‑chemical quality control laboratory under the daily supervision of an assigned tutor, contributing to routine and project‑based analyses.
  • Assist in olfactory activities: organise and facilitate olfaction workshops, participate in sensory panels and contribute to the implementation of olfactory control procedures for fragrance concentrates.
  • Perform and observe chromatographic and physico‑chemical controls (including sample preparation and documentation) under supervision.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps, proposing pragmatic corrective actions and participating in their implementation.
  • Communicate findings clearly and pedagogically to cross‑functional teams and participate in knowledge‑sharing within the six‑person laboratory.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bac+3 to Bac+5 programme in analytical chemistry, perfumery analysis, pharmaceutical/chemical analysis or a closely related discipline.
  • Available for a one‑year alternance (apprenticeship) contract and able to work full time on site at the Chartres manufacturing site.
  • Demonstrable aptitude for olfaction in high‑end perfumery; experience with sensory panels is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC‑MS) and basic chromatographic techniques is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational rigour, methodical approach and capacity for analytical synthesis.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to present information clearly, share knowledge and animate workshops.
