Christian Dior Couture seeks a senior pattern maker for menswear standardization and VIP production in Paris. MODARIS expertise required.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Monitor collection patterns and identify potential pattern-making issues during development
  • Develop alternative solutions for production challenges as needed
  • Prepare and lead standardization meetings with the studio, development team, and collection merchandising
  • Define counter-samples during normalization meetings to ensure desired quality and fit for production
  • Establish and apply men's ready-to-wear standardization protocols
  • Normalize a portion of patterns while briefing and supervising other pattern makers' normalization work
  • Ensure adherence to production timelines and retroplanning
  • Receive and review counter-samples, organize fit sessions, and provide technical corrections and comments
  • For VIP production: participate in project briefings and rework patterns from the collection according to imposed timelines

Qualifications

  • Fashion school degree or equivalent with specialization in technical pattern making and CAD/CAM
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in CAD/CAM pattern making and standardization
  • Several years of experience in menswear ready-to-wear
  • Advanced technical knowledge of garment construction and components
  • Expert proficiency with MODARIS software
  • Fluency in French (essential); English proficiency (advantageous)
