Operations Manager at Christian Dior Couture in Washington D.C. – manage boutique operations, payroll, inventory, and facilities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee compliance of all associates with established company policies, procedures, and standards including safekeeping of company funds and property, personnel practices, security, inventory management, sales and record-keeping procedures
- Train, coach, and manage all associates in execution of operational tasks including POS procedures, return procedures, alteration requests, and safety and security procedures
- Monitor the accuracy of receiving, transfers, damages, and returns-to-vendor to maintain inventory integrity
- Ensure adequate security and physical compliance with safety codes and ordinances
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts as directed by management
- Coordinate communication between store operations and central distribution and corporate inventory control
- Produce and maintain operational reports and records to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
- Ensure all back-of-house operations are properly set-up and organized
- Lock and secure the store and oversee compliance with all opening, closing, and security procedures
- Assist with payroll management, scheduling of associates, and ensure compliance with payroll budgets
- Help solve problems affecting store service, efficiency, and productivity
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of operations management experience in retail or luxury retail environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage store operations including payroll, customer service, shipping and receiving, alterations, and facilities management
- Proficiency with POS systems, inventory control systems, and office equipment
- Strong understanding of security protocols and facility maintenance oversight
- Ability to produce, complete, and maintain records and documentation pertaining to workforce
- Experience developing and training workforce and building team relationships
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of retail operations management experience, preferably within a luxury fashion or high-end retail setting. Demonstrated proficiency in managing multi-faceted store operations including payroll administration, shipping and receiving coordination, inventory control, and facilities oversight is essential.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, or related field preferred.
