Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee compliance of all associates with established company policies, procedures, and standards, including safekeeping of company funds and property, personnel practices, security, inventory management, and record-keeping procedures
  • Train, coach, and manage all associates in execution of operations tasks, including POS procedures, return procedures, alteration requests, safety and security procedures
  • Monitor accuracy of receiving, transfers, damages, and returns-to-vendor (RTV) transactions to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Ensure adequate security exists and that physical facilities comply with all applicable safety codes and ordinances
  • Conduct regular inventory cycle counts as directed and coordinate communication between the store and central distribution or corporate inventory control
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive operational reports and records to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Ensure back-of-house operations are properly organized and set up to support retail functions
  • Lock and secure the store at close of business and oversee compliance with all opening, closing, and security procedures
  • Assist with payroll management and scheduling of associates while ensuring compliance with payroll budgets
  • Resolve problems affecting store service, efficiency, and productivity
  • Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers
  • Exercise judgment and discretion in conjunction with the management team regarding day-to-day store operations

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of retail store management with strong operations background
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures
  • Proficiency with POS systems, inventory control systems, phone systems, and cash registers
  • Ability to develop and train workforce, build relationships, and utilize team skills appropriately
  • Ability to maintain fair and consistent standards across the workforce
  • Willingness to adhere to all company policies, procedures, regulations, and standards
