Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure all shipping and receiving functions are processed accurately and efficiently to maintain store inventory integrity
  • Maintain orderly and neat stock and receiving areas with proper merchandise ticketing and security sensor application
  • Process inbound freight, returns-to-vendors, chargebacks, transfers, and damages according to company policies
  • Support compliance with established receiving practices including safekeeping of company funds, personnel practices, and record-keeping procedures
  • Apply appropriate security tagging to prevent inventory loss and shrinkage
  • Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control departments regarding stock movement and discrepancies
  • Participate in all inventory and cycle counts with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Assist in floor moves, merchandising displays, display maintenance, and general housekeeping
  • Complete price changes and merchandise updates within the boutique
  • Assist in packing and wrapping customer merchandise when needed
  • Identify and propose solutions to optimize receiving area operations and productivity
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and security protocols
  • Attend store meetings and training seminars as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of relevant retail stock, shipping, or receiving experience
  • Demonstrated ability to handle receiving operations effectively with proper merchandise handling protocols
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with organized, detail-oriented approach
  • Proficiency in reading, counting, and accurate documentation completion
  • Competency with computer-based inventory control systems
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in fast-paced retail environments
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy merchandise boxes and fixtures
  • Flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
